Nashville, TN – CereCore, a leading provider of healthcare IT services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Barrett as Senior Director, Oracle Health Services. This strategic hire marks a significant step in CereCore’s commitment to expanding its Oracle Health (Cerner) capabilities and responding to the evolving needs of healthcare organizations.
Barrett brings over two decades of experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), having worked directly with clients at Oracle and led Oracle support delivery at a major IT consulting firm. His expertise spans implementations, optimizations, go-lives, and advisory services for some of the nation’s largest health systems.
“We have been tracking and monitoring Oracle Health since the acquisition of Cerner. We are seeing a migration towards a partner support network where Oracle will rely on a vast network of partnerships to provide support services versus internally providing support as ‘Cerner’ had in the past,” said Chris Wickersham, Vice President of Support Services at CereCore. “We believe that CereCore can provide our customers with a significant amount of value as it relates to Oracle Health services, whether it be in a managed service capacity or in professional services/advisory work. Given Richard’s experience and knowledge/expertise in the tool, understanding of Oracle’s future support vision, as well as abundance of relationships in the Oracle Health network, we know that Richard is absolutely the right person to lead and build upon our Oracle Health (Cerner) capabilities.”
CereCore has long supported Oracle Health clients through our team of experienced analysts and technical experts. With Barrett’s leadership, the company is poised to build a dedicated Oracle Health practice that offers strategic guidance, scalable support services, and a deep understanding of the Oracle ecosystem.
