At the 2024 HFMA Annual Conference, Jeff Becker, Vice President of Portfolio Marketing at FinThrive, Mike Vigo, Chief Revenue Officer at UC San Diego Health, and Kim Waters, Principal, Advisory Services at CereCore sat down for an interview about the Revenue Cycle Management Technology Adoption Model (or RCMTAM for short).
Mike Vigo talked about how his organization had been using RCMTAM and gave specific examples of they had improved efficiency and financial outcomes. He also shared how the assessment process had helped his leadership team collaborate and communicate more effectively about revenue cycle management.
Kim Waters talked about the benefits of RCMTAM to help assess technology gaps and give leaders a holistic approach to align on strategy, people and processes. She commented that RCMTAM can be integrated into annual reviews and believes it will be helpful for articulating a clear vision for healthcare teams, leadership and boards.
Jeff Becker discussed where FinThrive and his team plan to take the RCMTAM next and how he thinks the framework will continue to evolve over time. He talked about the benefits and progress of the adoption model since it was first launched.
