CereCore announces specialized revenue cycle advisory services for healthcare organizations and new Principal, Kim Waters. This focused advisory service is in response to healthcare clients' growing need for actionable strategies to more effectively evaluate and govern an organization’s revenue cycle processes.

“Through years of investigating revenue cycle processes for healthcare organizations of various sizes and service offerings, Kim has developed a keen eye for approaches that can eliminate leakage and manage changes that mean more efficiencies for healthcare organizations. This is key to the overall financial state of healthcare organizations and to related patient experiences,” said Peyman Zand, Chief Strategy Officer.

Strategy Setting with a Consultant from an Executive Background

Kim brings the vantage point of executives to every consulting engagement because she has been there serving previously in various capacities as CEO, COO, and EVP Strategic Partnerships/Sales Operations. Some of Kim’s key accomplishments include:

  • Serving as EVP of Claims & Provider Networks for a national health share where she led digital and process transformation efforts along with cost-containment strategies focused on enhancing access to care and reducing claims processing time.
  • At a cardiac therapy company, Kim served as COO and led strategic growth and standardization initiatives.
  • She has also served as EVP and Partner at a healthcare technology company, offering clearinghouse, workflow, and business rule solutions to payors and TPAs, where she led sales operations and digital transformation efforts, resulting in significant efficiencies and savings for large and small health plan and provider clients, including HMSA, WellCare, and Cotiviti.
  • From the earliest stages of her twenty-year consulting career, Kim has focused on revenue cycle management, credentialing, value-based arrangements, and practice management for healthcare providers seeking independence.

“Revenue cycle processes at healthcare organizations are often trusted running unchanged and potentially inefficiently as they fight a circular battle of resource limitations and constant industry changes.  I often hear “we’re doing fine”, typically translates to leaving a lot on the table.  I enjoy partnering with financial, operational, and IT leaders to help them seize opportunities to optimize and streamline their processes and technology to transform their organizations.” said Waters.
