CereCore recently named Peyman Zand as the company’s chief strategy officer (CSO). As CSO, he will evolve strategic plans and business goals for continued domestic and international growth of CereCore. He will help ensure ongoing local and remote support for our new and existing clients with specialized IT services for quality patient care and strong operations in healthcare and life sciences organizations.
“Our company has experienced tremendous growth over the past several years, and Peyman’s direction as CSO will be instrumental in decisions to expand our locations and services as we continually look for more, better ways to serve our clients,” says Curtis Watkins, President and CEO of CereCore. “Peyman’s knowledge of healthcare information technology spans multiple disciplines and several decades. His passion for what we do and his respect for the people of our organization are the right perspectives for the future of CereCore.”
Since joining CereCore in 2019, Peyman has served as vice president with responsibility for providing consulting services and assisting clients with strategic planning, governance, and program development frameworks needed to implement key initiatives and to introduce pragmatic innovations into their organizations. Building on that experience, he will employ strategic planning and leadership expertise to execute the strategic goals of our growing company which supports over 400 hospitals and over 3500 care settings as well as in new markets such as Dallas-Fort Worth, Boston, and internationally starting in the United Kingdom.
Before coming to CereCore, Peyman served as a vice president at Community Health Systems, as the regional CIO for Tenet Healthcare and was a partner at Pivot Point Consulting. He also led the strategy, governance and program management activities for the University of North Carolina (UNC) Health Care System. His experience includes service at Dow Chemical Manufacturing in a variety of executive roles, including divisional CIO. Early in his career, Peyman served the state of Michigan with complex projects and held senior management positions at Michigan State University in addition to founding an application development and systems integration company.
Peyman holds a Bachelor of Science in Computational Mathematics and Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan. Peyman is a Certified Healthcare Executive (CFCHE) through CHIME College and has served on the boards of the Tennessee Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (TNHIMMS) and the North Carolina and Southeast HFMA chapters.
